Gestalt Mind

I like this

For a semi-old school EQ’er like me, I think this is awesome.  I just spent a good chunk of time looking over this and remembering each of those events that I was present for and what I heard about those that I missed.  It is odd to think that this game is this freaking old and even odder still to see how much of it I played during.

Well, damn

My healthy streak certainly didn’t last long.  I woke up Saturday morning with a sinus infection that developed into an upper resperatory infection and an ear infection.  I guess the long trip, little sleep, and crummy hotels took their toll.

The good part of that, if there is a good part, is that I slept long and hard this weekend.  I woke up Saturday around 11 AM, jumped on EQ2 for about an hour, and then went back to bed just before 1 PM.  I thought I had just dozed off when I heard the phone ringing.  I was very surprised when I saw that it was nearly 7 PM.

After I got off the phone, I jumped back into EQ2 for a bit, but was back in bed by 9:30 and slept through the night.

I woke up Sunday just before noon but was still really tired.  I got up for maybe 30 minutes before going back to bed.  I slept until about 4:30 yesterday afternoon.  I got up and logged into EQ2 for a bit but ended up logging off around 8 and going back to bed and sleeping through until this morning.

Considering the small amount of time I spent playing, I was fairly satisfied with the results.  I hit 38 with the brigand/wizard duo and nearly made 39 as well.  I made 2 harvest runs for tradeskill supplies and got level 32 on my woodworker and about halfway to 36 on my provisioner before running out of gas for being online.

My current adventures are in Steamfont.  I enjoyed this zone when doing it the first time, but I think I came to it a bit late.  By the time I got here with my drige, the entry quests were already turning green.  I don’t think I’ve done anything easier than a blue quest yet and most have been yellow.  Then again, when you are boxing 2 DPS classes, quests are much easier than when soloing a wet paper bag.

Still, I am enjoying the somewhat altered method I am using for leveling.  I am doing dungeons as frequently as I can, but when I can’t get a dungeon, I go to zones early increasing the challange and also increasing the chances that I’ll get to see and do more before everything turns gray on me once again.

I have to admit though that I am very much looking forward to heading back to DoF on these guys.  Of the content I have seen so far, DoF remains my favorite.

In fact, I might end up playing some this afternoon.  I have a work meeting coming up in a few minutes, but I may end up going home once it is over.  I definately don’t feel well enough to be here and, as my boss pointed out, no one will thank me if I get them sick… especially since we start another round of travel next week.
