Nothing about nothing

I don’t really have anything to talk about today and wouldn’t really have much time to talk about it even if I did.

I spent 9 hours at work yesterday staring at the monitor while creating network Visio maps full of hyperlinks and sub-commands.  Not really a difficult task, but a repetitive one.

By the time I got home last night, I had the mother of all migraines.  I don’t recall if I have ever told the story of fracturing my skull when I was 20 or not, but I get frequent migraines as a result.  Most I can deal with.  Very occasionally, I’ll get one that is so bad it literally shuts me down.  That was last night.  I spent the evening lying in the dark with a towel over my eyes.

Today, it is more Visio maps while taking occasional breaks to send network device and network device configs to our corporate office so they can input the information into a new network monitoring application they are now running.

At least today is Friday.  Not only that but I go off being on call tonight, so I will have absolutely no work-related responsibilities for 2 glorious days… which means I get to hunker down and do some EQ time.

Hopefully, that also means that I’ll have something interesting to say next time around.
