Look but don’t touch
My play time was limited last night. There were several reasons for this, but none are very interesting. I just didn’t have much time. So, I decided to finish that tradeskill quest that I complained about yesterday.
The night before, I got up to the point where I needed to craft the first possible remedy for whatever was wrong with the NPC in The Sinking Sands. I tried to zone into a tradeskill instance and crashed. I wasn’t having much fun anyway, so that is where I called it a night.
I logged on last night to do the crafting. I made the first and took it to the NPC. She exploded in mushroom spores and passed out. I went back and forth between Qeynos and The Sinking Sands making silly little recipes and watching the NPC flop around on the ground getting sicker and finally denoucing me as a tradeskiller who didn’t know my butt from a gopher hole and sending me on my way.
The quest reward was a new purple cloak with a ring emblem on the back and a book to place in my house.
Of course, loving house decorations, I had to run off and drop it off. I found a good spot and placed it and nearly giggled myself silly when I saw a noxious ooze start bubbling off of the book. Seems the book was for the favorite recipes of Bertox and the book itself was somewhat diseased.
For all that I didn’t enjoy that particular quest, the book was a nice touch for someone who enjoys that kind of thing.
Once that was complete, I had to log off because I didn’t have time for anything else. The crafting didn’t take much time, but the running back and forth made the whole process take nearly an hour and a half and I still needed to get to studying.
I scheduled my exam yesterday. On Saturday, May 3 at 8 AM when most gamers are still sleeping off their late Friday night play session, I will be across town taking an exam that is scheduled to take two and a half hours. As a result, I am in crunch time right now so my gaming will most likely be reduced until the test is over.
