Fun with numbers
I didn’t do anything last night. I logged on for a bit, but I was extremely tired.
For the little bit that I was on, a friend and I grouped up and experimented with his DPS against the training dummy in the guild hall. He’s already our top DPSer, but it was fun to see how various factors influenced his DPS.
By himself, just autoattacking, he hit around 3k DPS. Grouped with me with my normal run of buffs running and just autoattacking, he was just under 4k DPS. Grouped with me with my normal buffs running and going all out, he was landing at just under 9k. Grouped with me with my normal buffs running, him going all out, and me hitting one of my debuffs and CoB, he was hitting just under 14k.
Granted, this is against a training dummy. Still, he has been known to parse similar numbers in shard instances. It was just kind of fun to watch how various factors influence and how much they do so.
Last night was raid night, but by the time we finished playing with the dummy, I was falling asleep and I begged off. I have another late night at work tonight, but nothing like what I had last week. Tonight, I come back at 11:30 and will be here until about 3AM. Still not fun, but it sure beats the 72-hour straight stint that I pulled last week.
The good news is that we are closed on Friday. Normally we would be off on the 4th, but since the 4th falls on Saturday this year, they decided to let us have the 3rd off.
Can’t complain about that.
Have a great 4th
